PAUL Warne has confirmed Rotherham United will be interested in striker George Hirst if he is made available by Sheffield Wednesday.
The teenage forward, who was at Tuesday night's Checkatrade Trophy tie at the AESSEAL New York Stadium, could be going out on loan, with Rotherham one of several clubs monitoring developments.
"We would obviously be interested in bringing a player of that calibre to this club," Millers chief Warne told the Advertiser. "He can score goals and hold up play and he'd have the opportunity to play in front of our great crowd here."
There is more from the Millers chief in this week's edition, which includes our new 24-page sports pullout.
