The manufacturer has designed what they call “the most advance wheelie bin in the UK to date”, alongside new innovative kitchen caddies.

The new 240L is curvier and sleeker in design than its predecessors to give the product more durability and strength.

Its rounded corners and smooth finish also means it’s very easy to clean.

Both products have taken almost six months to design and develop following research by MGB, and are part of the company's commitment to cut food waste.

Created from recycled plastic, the bins have a strengthened front rim to ensure exact locking on lifting equipment.

They also have a stronger more durable design with the availability of many optional extras such as RFID tags and printing.

Conor Sugrue, general manager at MGB Plastics, said: "We started our research and development of the new 240L and Kitchen Caddy following feedback from a number of our partners and clients.

"It took us six months to create these products and we are delighted with the results.

“As a business we are continually committed to investing in good quality design products and these are an example of the investment we continue to make in tackling waste management and recycling.

"We have also invested in equipment which gives us the capacity to manufacturer over one and a half million wheeled bins per annum."

"The UK generates 18- 20 million tonnes of food waste each year and we believe that our Kitchen caddies are an excellent way to further increase recycling rates and reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill," added Mr Sugrue.

"Our aim is that these products will be at the forefront of helping local authorities to meet their recycling targets continually.

The products are to be officially launched today at the Recycling and Waste Management Exhibition in Birmingham.
