Met Office upgrades weather warning as snow forecast for Rotherham
Snow on Sunday could lead to difficult driving conditions, the Met Office said

UP to 10cm of snow could hit Rotherham this weekend, prompting forecasters to upgrade a weather warning.

The Met Office has now issued an amber ‘be prepared’ warning for snow on Sunday.

It said a spell of heavy snow was expected to sweep across Rotherham from around 9am with “10cm likely quite widely, with 15 to 20cm in places.”

Road, rail and air travel delays are likely, the Met office said, as well as public transport cancellations.
