Medicines on meeting agenda
MEDIEVAL medicines will come under the microscope at a heritage society meeting today.
The first meeting of the winter season for Mexborough & District Heritage Society will take place at 7.15pm at the Ferryboat Inn in Mexborough with a talk titled “Mediaeval Medicines” to be given by Ann-Marie Holdridge
Ann-Marie, and her husband Trevor are active members of the Woodville Household Mediaeval Re-enactment Group.
Ann-Marie will talk about us of how illness and wounds were treated in the past, sometimes with the use of herbs and plants, some of which are used to this day.
Entrance fees are £2 non-members and £1.50 members.
