Mayor impresses in visit to school

PRIMARY school children were excited to receive a visit from two special guests — the Mayor and Consort of Rotherham.

Cllr Eve Rose Keenan and Mr Pat Keenan dropped by Laughton All Saints’ C of E Primary School pupils to congratulate a Year 4 pupils on their highly commended poster entry an Armed Forces Day Competition.

School administrator Karen Hague said: “The children were very interested in hearing about the Mayor's role and asked some interesting questions.

“They couldn't believe how friendly and down to earth the Mayor was.”
