Masked men threaten teenage driver with a knife in Bolton-on-Dearne

POLICE are appealing for information after masked men threatened an 18-year-old man with a knife while he was sat in his car.

Officers received reports that three men wearing masks approached the 18-year-old's vehicle at around 1.30am on December 27, while it was parked in St Andrew's Square in Bolton-on-Dearne.

It is reported one of the men threatened the teenager with a knife, demanding money and when the victim refused, the men attempted to gain access to the car, said a spokeswoman from South Yorkshire Police.

"On realising the car was locked, the men fled the scene and nothing was stolen," added the spokeswoman.

If you were in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious call 101 and quote incident number 14/194732/19.
