Masked men armed with meat cleaver rob Kimberworth Park shop

MASKED armed robbers threatened staff at a convenience store before making off with cash.

The two masked men, one armed with a meat cleaver, targeted McColl’s store on Oaks Lane, Kimberworth Park, at around 9.20pm on Tuesday, December 19.

Police said the men demanded money and fled “with a quantity of cash” towards Oaks Lane.

“No-one was injured during the incident but staff were left incredibly distressed,” a South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said.

Officers are appealing for anyone with any information to call 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111, quoting incident number 1003 of December 19.
