Masbrough care home plan refused
A PROPOSED extension adding six rooms at a care home for the elderly has been refused by planners.
Independence For Life Ltd wanted to build on land currently used for parking cars outside the Rotherview Care Home, on Brown Street, Masbrough.
But Rotherham Borough Council rejected the idea at last Thursday’s planning board meeting at the Town Hall.
A spokesman said: “The proposal would represent an overdevelopment of the site, which provides no private amenity space for future residents.”
