Masbrough cannabis grower bypassed electricity

A CANNABIS grower has been given a 12-month community order and will have to complete unpaid work.

Carl Arnold (46) bypassed the electricity meter at his home on Avondale Road, Masbrough, while producing cannabis last November.

He was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court last Monday (9) after pleading guilty at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court to production of a class B drug and abstracting electricity without authority.

Arnold was ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work as part of his community order.

A Proceeds of Crime Act hearing is set for February 24 at the same court.
