Market offers mental health advice

MARKET shoppers can pick up a wealth of mental health and wellbeing advice next Wednesday.

Staff from Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation (RDaSH) will be on hand on market day, which falls in the middle of Mental Health Awareness week 2017.

RDaSH support and recovery worker Jo Hayes said: “We know that one in four people experience a problem with their mental health every year in the UK and many of us are struggling to cope with the demands of everyday life.

“We’ve joined up with local partners from across the borough to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing and provide information about the help and support available to local people.

“We hope as many people as possible will pop along to the market and have a conversation about mental health.”

Find the team off Eastwood Lane, from 9am to 1pm. For more information, see www.nhs.uk/livewell/mentalhealth.
