Man's body found hanging from tree, inquest told

AN INQUEST has been opened into the death of a father of six whose body was found in a park.

The body of Bee Moyo (45), of Cavendish Road, Holmes, was found in Ferham Park shortly before 6am last Monday after members of Zimbabwe-born factory worker contacted the police an expressed concern for his welfare.

At Doncaster Coroner’s Court this morning, the Rotherham District Coroner, Ms Nicola Mundy, revealed that officers had found Mr Moyo’s body hanging from a tree.

She added: “Paramedics worked to resuscitate Mr Moyo but he was pronounced dead at the scene.”

Miss Mundy said that Mr Moyo had lived in the UK for five years and had four children living in Zimbabwe and two in Leeds.

He had moved in with a new partner in Rotherham around six months ago.

Mr Moyo’s brother Lucky (34) said that his body would be transported back to Zimbabwe for cremation.

He added: “This has come as a terrible shock. It is a very sad time for us.”
