Man wanted in connection with assault could be in Rotherham
Christopher Helliwell

A WANTED man who is on the run has links to the Rotherham area, police have revealed.

Sheffield man Christopher Helliwell (46) is wanted in connection with an assault in the city earlier this year.

Attempts are being made to find Mr Helliwell and police are now asking for the public’s help to locate him.

Acting Det Sgt Andy Miller said: “Helliwell is fully aware that he is wanted by police and that we are out looking for him. As a result, he is deliberately trying to avoid arrest.

“I’d ask that anyone who sees him, speaks to him, or who knows where he is, to please contact us. If you see him, please don’t approach him but instead call 999.

“Helliwell is also known to frequently visit the Longley area of Sheffield as well as Treeton, Rotherham.”

Anyone who sees Christopher Helliwell should call police quoting incident number 944 of May 25.
