Man treated for minor burns after fence and shed blaze in Kilnhurst

A MAN in his 60s was treated for minor burns on Sunday afternoon after a shed and fence became well alight in Kilnhurst.

Firefighters from Rotherham were called to Greenwood Road, Kilnhurst, at 1.58pm.

On their arrival, they found a shed and fence well alight, said a spokesman from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.

The fire was started when the contents of a brazier were disposed of behind the shed, he added.

"The crew came away by 3.24pm and one man in his 60s was given treatment for minor burns."
