Man to stand trial over kidnapping and attempted bank robbery

A MAN will stand trial after denying being involved in an attempted bank robbery and kidnapping.

Michael Edward Dunphy (45), of Worsley, Manchester, appeared at Sheffield Crown Court today (Wednesday) via videolink from Doncaster Prison.

Dunphy denied four counts of kidnap and three counts of attempted robbery following incidents in Wickersley and Barclays Bank in Stag on November 21.

His week-long trial will begin on June 4.
