Man threatened with machete in 2am attempted robbery

FOUR arrests were made after a 2am attempted robbery in which a man was threatened with a machete.

The victim was approached by a dark coloured VW Golf while walking on Wales Road in Kiveton Park on Tuesday.

He managed to flee to a nearby address after the suspects demanded he hand over his phone and money.

Two men aged 38 and 19, and two 17-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of robbery. They have since been bailed.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about what happened to come forward.
