Man taken to hospital after falling ill at the wheel in Rawmarsh

A MAN was taken to hospital after a medical episode at the wheel in Rawmarsh last night (Sunday).

Police officers and firefighters from Dearne and Rotherham stations were called to Oates Avenue at 10.50pm.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said the driver collided with a parked vehicle.

"The driver had a medical episode at the wheel and was taken to hospital," the spokeswoman added.

"There was only minor damage to the vehicle."

Fire crews left the scene at 11.30pm.
