Man "stabbed" on Eastwood street

A MAN is in hospital after allegedly being stabbed on an Eastwood street yesterday (Wednesday) evening.

A MAN is in hospital after being stabbed on an Eastwood street yesterday (Wednesday) evening.

Police were called to Cranworth Road at 7.40pm to reports of a man with a neck wound, said a police spokesman.

The victim was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries, he added, and a man had been detained in connection with the incident.

Officers closed Cranworth Road and Sumner Road while forensic work was carried out.

Police today appealed for witnesses to the incident.
