Man sought after Wickersley assault

OFFICERS investigating an assault outside a pub have released a photograph of a man they would like to trace as part of the investigation.

Police believe the man pictured could hold vital information about the incident on Bawtry Road, Wickersley, outside the Masons Arms, on Friday, June 22,

On the day of the incident, at around 5.50pm a 28-year-old woman was sat in her car in stationary traffic at the roundabout outside the pub when an unknown man threw a glass at her car.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman added: “The woman got out of her vehicle to speak to the man, who then reportedly grabbed her arm before walking away. The woman was not injured during the incident.

“Officers believe the man pictured could hold vital information and are appealing to anyone who may recognise him to get in touch.”
