Man seriously hurt in Tickhill Road collision

It happened on Tickhill Road, near the old pit site, shortly before 4.30pm yesterday (Thursday).

A police spokeswoman said: “One man has been taken to Northern General Hospital with suspected serious injuries.”

The road was closed between Maltby and Scotch Spring Lane as officers carried out work at the scene but has reopened.

There have been petitions for changes speed limits and extra signage in the area due to the number of collisions.
