Man rescued from River Don in Rotherham

A MAN was rescued from the River Don on Monday, after accidentally falling in.

Emergency services were called to Centenary Way, Canklow, at 4.05pm, after the man in his 30s entered the water near Rotherham Interchange.

A fire service rope rescue team helped him out of the river, before passing him to paramedics, a spokeswoman said.

A police spokeswoman confirmed the man was not injured in the incident.
