A MAN has gone on trial charged with 20 sexual offences, including rape.
Ian Dempster (61) is accused of sexually abusing two schoolgirls aged around 11 and 14 and a woman in her early 20s between 1998 and 2009 in the Bolton on Dearne and Wath areas.
Dempster denies eight counts of rape, seven counts of indecent assault and five counts of sexual assault.
Giving evidence today at Sheffield Crown Court, one complainant told the jury how Dempster sexually abused her three times when she was aged between 14 and 15.
She claims on one occasion he plied her with alcohol.
Mr Dempster said he was in prison during the time the woman claims he abused her between 2002 and 2003.
The woman said: “He was definitley not in prison.”
The trial continues.
