Man jailed for six years for Thurnscoe killing
Gary McKeown (37), yesterday pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Mr Smith at Sheffield Crown Court following an incident in Thurnscoe last January.
Today, McKeown was sentenced to six years in prison.
Mr Smith was found injured in Church Street, Thurnscoe, around 4.30pm on January 28, after a disturbance near the junction with Houghton Road.

Hide AdHe died from the stab injuries he sustained during the attack.
Det Chief Insp Tom Whiteley said: “This case resulted from problems in a close-knit community.
"There was a confrontation which escalated leading to a violent incident in which Philip Smith suffered multiple stab wounds.
“I would like to thank the community for their support in coming forward to help with the investigation.”
