Man injured after roadside assault in Greasbrough

A MAN was injured when he was assaulted by another driver at the roadside in Greasbrough. 

Police said a male driver of a white BMW had reported how they had been in Potter Hill at 5.20pm on May 25, when another vehicle, a black Vauxhall Astra, had been driving in a dangerous and threatening manner.

A short time later, at around 5.30pm, the two vehicles were in collision on Smithy Bridge Lane, said a police spokeswoman.  

"Both vehicles pulled into the lay-by and the driver of the white BMW was subsequently assaulted by the male driver of the second vehicle," she added.

"He suffered minor injuries in the incident."

Officers are appealing for any witnesses, or dash-cam footage of the assault, or anyone who saw the moments leading up to the collision.
