A man in his twenties was taken to Northern General Hospital with leg injuries.

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said: "Emergency services were called to a block of flats on High Street, Rotherham, at around 3pm on Saturday (June 9) following reports that a man in his twenties had fallen from a window.

“As a precaution, the flats were evacuated while officers and partner agencies ensured the man’s welfare and carried out enquiries. The scene was released shortly after.

“The man was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries. No-one else was involved in the incident.”

A spokesman for Yorkshire Air Ambulance said the service despatched a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance to the scene. The man was transported by road to hospital with "leg injuries.”
