Man in custody after death of 19-year-old woman
A post-mortem examination into the teenager's death carried out today proved inconclusive.
Officers were called to Fitzwilliam Road at around 12.10pm yesterday (Thursday) following a report from the ambulance service that “a 19-year-old woman was unresponsive to medical assistance”.

Hide AdA police spokeswoman added: “The woman, who was a passenger in a car travelling towards Rotherham, was removed from the vehicle for treatment but was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“Her family have been informed and are being supported by officers.
“A post-mortem examination was carried out earlier today (Friday) and further tests are now required and will be carried out in due course.
“A 36-year-old man from the Rotherham area is currently in custody helping police with enquiries as the investigation continues.”
