Man in court over indecent images

Matthew Hancock (39), of Wilcox Green, Wingfield, faces six counts of making indecent pseudo-photographs — namely 48 category A moving images (the most extreme level), 41 category B movies, a category B moving image, 50 category C movies, and a category C still image.

A pseudo-photograph is an image made by computer-graphics or otherwise which appears to be a photograph.

The offences were committed in Rotherham in April last year.

The defendant, who also goes under the alias Mathew Charles Hancock, appeared at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Monday (30) where he indicated a guilty plea.

He will next appear at Sheffield Crown Court for sentence on January 4.
