Man in court charged with Catcliffe Post Office robberies

A MAN has appeared in court charged in connection with two robberies at Catcliffe Post Office.

Thomas Whaley (36), of no fixed address, appeared at Sheffield Magistrates' Court today (Friday) in connection with robberies at the post office on Brinsworth Road on Tuesday and Wednesday evening.

He entered no plea to two counts of robbery, section 18 wounding, threatening with an offensive weapon and possession of a knife or bladed object.

He was remanded into custody and is due to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on November 16.
