Man found with serious facial injuries at Ulley Country Park

A MAN is fighting for his life after being found unconscious with serious facial injuries at a country park.

The 37-year-old was found at Ulley Country Park at around 8.35am on Monday.

The police helicopter was called in and Ulley Lane was closed as part of the search

The man sustained serious facial injuries and was found on an embankment at the reservoir.

He was taken to hospital where he remains in an unconscious state and in a critical condition.

Police have launched an investigation into how the man came to be at the Country Park and how he got his injuries.

A police spokeswoman said the injuries were being treated as unexplained at this time.

Ulley Lane was closed off by police throughout yesterday and a helicopter was seen scouring the area in the late afternoon.

Anyone who visited the reservoir on Sunday evening or Monday morning should call police on 101, quoting incident number 209 of October 16.
