Man dies two weeks after traffic crash

A 51-YEAR-OLD man died in hospital two weeks after being involved in a car crash.

The man, who has not been named by police, was driving a red Seat Ibiza when it collided with a white Seat Leon at around 9.30am on Monday, May 9.

Neither driver was thought to be injured in the crash on Canklow Road, close to the junction with Robinson Street.

But the Ibiza driver was taken ill on May 21 and admitted to hospital, where he died on May 23.

Officers are now keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who was in the area at the time.
