Man cleared of child sex abuse charges

A MAN has been cleared of all child sex abuse charges he faced.

Karl Moore (39), of Albert Road, Parkgate, was found not guilty of 12 charges of child sexual abuse at Sheffield Crown Court.

Moore denied all the charges and the three day trial, which began on Tuesday, saw the jury of nine men and three women deliver a not guilty verdict on all counts on Thursday afternoon.

He was cleared of three counts of indecent assault of a girl aged between five and six, and one count of assault of a girl aged between six and seven.

He was also cleared of four counts of assaulting a child under the age of 13, two counts of trying to engage a child under 13 in sexual activity and cleared of two counts of raping a child aged between eight and 11 years-old.

The charges all related to the same girl, who is now 18 years-old, between 2001 and 2008.
