Man charged with rape after Herringthorpe incident
POLICE have charged a man with rape after an incident at Herringthorpe on Tuesday evening.
Allan Hunter, of Shelley Drive, Herringthorpe, is due before magistrates in Sheffield this morning (Thursday).
Hunter (48) faces two counts of rape and four of sexual assault in relation to an incident at Chaucer Road.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said the victim, a 45-year-old woman was being supported by specially trained officers and specialist staff from partner agencies.
