Man charged with grooming and sexual offences
A MAN has been charged with child grooming and sexual assault in connection with alleged offences against a 12-year-old girl in Rotherham.
Richard Inkles (34), of Tithe Barn Lane, Woodhouse, was arrested and charged on Tuesday with two counts of sexual assault by touching against a child under 13 and one charge of meeting a child following sexual grooming.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said the girl was from Rotherham and the offences are alleged to have taken place in Rotherham between July and November 2014.
He appeared at Rotherham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday morning and was bailed to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on February 25.
