A MAN has appeared in court after police raided two homes on the same street and uncovered £500,000 worth of cannabis.
Police searched the properties at Henley Grove Road, Masbrough, at around 8.30pm on Thursday as part of a pre-planned operation and found around 500 cannabis plants.
Mikel Godolja (26), of no fixed address, appeared before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, charged with production of cannabis.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at Sheffield Crown Court at a later date.
Det Sgt Iain Martin said: “This operation was part of our ongoing work in Rotherham to tackle drugs and organised crime.
“We will continue to target and dismantle this dangerous and illegal activity not only across Rotherham but across the force as a whole.”
