Man attacked by burglars in Masbrough raid

Police said two men had forced their way into the house on College Road at around 11pm last Tuesday after banging on the door.

A man in his 60s was assaulted and dragged to the floor, a spokeswoman said.

"They stole a number of items including a quantity of money from the house before fleeing the scene," she added.

"The victim suffered minor injuries."

Police are appealing for anyone to contact them who may have seen or heard anything suspicious around the area that night.
