A SUSPECTED drug driver was cautioned after cannabis was found in his car.

Rotherham Central police team said the 18-year-old man had been stopped in St Ann’s Road at 9.40pm yesterday after officers spotted his VW Golf had faulty lights and no front number plate.

A spokesman said: “His car was searched due to the strong smell of cannabis.”

The man was cautioned for possessing cannabis found and arrested for drug driving.

A blood sample has been sent for analysis, the spokesman said, and the suspect was released under investigation
