Man arrested as police find 200 cannabis plants in Thrybergh

A MAN tried to escape through an upstairs window when police arrived to find 200 cannabis plants.

Officers attended Garbroads Crescent in Thrybergh shortly before 2pm yesterday (Sunday).

A police spokeswoman said: “Upon searching the property, officers located a cannabis cultivation. Two hundred plants have been seized.

“A 26-year-old man from Rotherham was detained by officers close by. 

“He was arrested on suspicion of producing a class B drug and abstracting electricity.”

The National Grid was called to the scene yesterday and South Yorkshire Police was still at the address this morning.
