Man arrested after gun, drugs and weapons found in Rotherham raid

THIS is the terrifying haul of drugs, knives and a gun which police found during a raid.

A 23-year-old man was arrested after officers executed the drugs warrant at the property on Byrley Road, Kimberworth Park, at around 7.30pm yesterday (4) where they found a knuckle duster and drug paraphernalia (pictured).

An officer from the Rotherham Central Neighbourhood Policing Team said the man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and firearms offences.

Further class A drugs were recovered from the man’s vehicle and also seized. 

Insp Jenny Lax said: "We have been able to recover a significant quantity of class A drugs.

"There was evidence of drug dealing there and we have also recovered the weapons including an air rifle, at least one knife and a knuckle duster."

Insp Lax said the type and value of the drugs was still being determined.

She said: "This information came from the community so I would like to say a big thank you to the community for the information they passed to us."
