Man appears at court accused of Parkgate assault

Tuy Van Tran (32), of no fixed abode, was due at Sheffield Magistrates' Court today (Monday) charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault in connection with an attack on June 27.

A traffic officer had discovered a woman with serious injuries to her arm at the junction of Lloyd Street and Broad Street on June 27, a police spokesperson said.

The woman was reportedly assaulted at a property on Lloyd Street.

Officers found another woman with minor injuries at the property and both were taken to hospital, the spokesperson said.

They have since been discharged.
