Man admits 14 charges of sending sex messages to children

A PAEDOPHILE has admitted attempting to send sexual communications to children.

Craig Hall (49), of Gray Avenue, Swallownest, pleaded guilty at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court to 14 charges of attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child.

Hall’s victims were aged 11 to 15, prosecutor Ms Joanne Cannon said.

“Some of [the messages] are incredibly explicit and there’s mention of issues such as rape in there,” said Ms Cannon.

Hall sent the messages over a five-month period, the court heard.

Magistrates sent Hall’s case to Sheffield Crown Court where he is due to be sentenced on July 29.

He was released on bail on the condition that he does not come into contact with anyone under the age of 18.
