A PENSIONER died after being hit by a car in Rotherham town centre.
Richard Gray (87) was in collision with a blue Audi A1 when crossing Wharncliffe street at around 6.40pm on Friday.
He was taken to hospital with multiple injuries but died on Saturday, a police spokesman said.
The driver of the Audi, a 22-year-old woman, was not injured following the incident close to the junction with Percy Street.
The spokesman added Mr Gray’s family were receiving support from specialist officers and have asked that their privacy be respected at this difficult time.
Anyone with any information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 955 of November 3.
