Man (22) denies assisting offender in death of Wombwell woman Jill Hibberd (73)

A MAN has denied a charge in connection to the death of a Wombwell woman.

Andrew Ashby (22), of Woolgreaves Avenue, Wakefield, pleaded not guilty at Sheffield Crown Court today (Friday) to assisting an offender by taking possession of a stolen vehicle.

The vehicle, an Audi TT, is said to have belonged to Ms Jill Hibberd (73, pictured), who was found dead at her home on Roy Kilner Road, Wombwell, on the morning of Thursday, May 31.

Lee Fueloep (40), of Willow Garth, Wombwell, was re-arraigned on a count of murder and pleaded not guilty.

Fueleop was remanded into custody and Ashby was granted conditional bail.

The pair are due to stand trial at Sheffield Crown Court on November 26.
