Maltby man denies "bomb-making research"
A 26-year-old man from Rotherham has denied researching how to make a bomb.
Nicholas Roddis, of Maltby, Rotherham, pleaded not guilty at the Old Bailey today to a charge of engaging in the preparation of an improvised explosive device.
Roddis, who appeared by video link, is alleged to have researched ingredients, equipment and sources using a computer at a local library between January and November 2011.
The 26-year-old, who was arrested in March, was was remanded in custody to stand trial at Woolwich Crown Court on January 14 next year.
