The Medal Centre is hosting sessions at venues in Wath, Rawmarsh, Whiston and Catcliffe this week, with specialists on hand to give free verbal valuations on any inherited medals and military items as well as coins and banknotes and most other small collectibles.

Scrap gold and broken jewellery will also be valued and the team is also after gold coins such as sovereigns and kruggerands or gold watches and watch chains.  

Valuers may be an on-the-spot cash offer for these items, as well as cloth and metal badges, items of uniform, paperwork and photographs and even banknotes.

Details of dates and venues are as follows (all sessions from 9.30am to 4.30pm):

Today (Wednesday): St James’ Rooms, Wath.

Tomorrow (Thursday): High Street Centre, Rawmarsh.

Friday: Whiston Parish Hall

Saturday: Catcliffe Memorial Hall.
