Police are still appealing for information about the white Transit van used as the getaway vehicle and later recovered from King Street.

Det Sgt Nikki Shimwell said: “We believe this vehicle was in Swallownest the night before the robbery and are appealing for anyone who saw this white transit van, or anyone acting suspiciously on either that Monday or Tuesday to contact the police or Crimestoppers.

“It could be that you noticed it parked outside a property, in a local car-park or being driven to or from the bank on Tuesday morning.

“We would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen the offenders park and abandon the vehicle on King Street some time after midday, following the robbery.”
