Machete found after police search car in Rawmarsh
OFFICERS on patrol in Rawmarsh found a machete in the passenger footwell of a car while carrying out a search yesterday afternoon (Monday).
Neighbourhood officers patrolling Kilnhurst Road stopped a grey BMW 330 estate shortly after 4pm after it aroused suspicions.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said officers had stopped the vehicle because there was only one occupant inside when the car was only covered by insurance for a provisional driver.
