M1 northbound 'to remain closed until this evening'
THE M1 closure is expected to continue into rush hour as police examine the scene of a multi-vehicle crash.
The northbound carriageway between junctions 34 at Meadowhall and 35 at Chapeltown is not expected be clear until 6pm.
Highways England said this was because of the complex nature of the ongoing police investigation.
A spokesman added: “Expect delays and plan alternative routes if possible.”
