M1 motorists warned of series of closures this week

SEVERAL slip roads and stretches of motorway will be affected by roadworks over the coming week.

The whole northbound and southbound carriageway of the M1 will be closed between junction 34 and junction 36 overnight on Saturday and the northbound carriageway from junction 31 to junction 32 overnight on Friday.  

Among the other spots affected are: 

The northbound entry slip road at junction 33 of the M1, which will be closed overnight on Monday for technology work, and the northbound entry slip road junction 34 will be shut overnight on Friday for the same purpose.

The northbound entry slip road at junction 35, which will be fully closed overnight on Wednesday for carriageway repairs. 

The northbound exit slip road at junction 35, which will be shut overnight on Wednesday and Friday 28 September for carriageway repairs. 

The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

 

The A631 at Tinsley viaduct, where the northbound carriageway remains closed round the clock until Saturday, November 3.
