M1 car blaze tackled by fire crew

A FIRE crew was called to a burning Range Rover on the hard shoulder of the M1 motorway.

A FIRE crew was called to a burning Range Rover on the hard shoulder of the M1 motorway .

The car was on fire between junction 31 at Aston and junction 32 at Thurcroft on the northbound carriageway yesterday (Sunday) at around 1.20pm.

Officers from Aston fire station spent 20 minutes bringing the fire under control.

A fire service spokeswoman said the cause of the blaze was “accidental”.
