M1 at Tinsley re-opens after livestock cleared from the road

THE M1 at Tinsley viaduct has re-opened after two loose cows were cleared from the road.

The road had been closed in both directions at junction 34 because livestock was loose on the road following a single-vehicle collision, a National Highways spokesperson said.

A vehicle carrying the cows is believed to have been involved in the collision.

The northbound carriageway has fully re-opened while lane three on the southbound carriageway remains closed for "clean-up", the spokesperson added.
