LIVE - Rotherham Borough Council election results

The Government-ordered all-out election was part of a package of intervention measures that followed the child sex abuse scandal.

Sir Derek Myers, who leads the commissioner team installed to oversee RMBC’s recovery, said the election would be an important milestone. He added: “We want a competent, successful council that deserves residents’ trust.”

Votes will be counted and results for all 63 council seats announced at Magna today following yesterday’s polls.

There was a 33 per cent turnout for the elections.
